Of course, when you sign up for a Clockpunk Site, we’ll talk you through the process of getting you the website of your dreams, but for those who are just considering signing up with us, here’s a brief description of our process. Of course, the first part of the process is our initial point of contact—you let us know you want a website! At the above link, you can see there are several ways to manage this: you can give us a call, you can email us at studio@clockpunkstudios.com, or you could fill out our client form (which will help the initial contact go a lot more quickly and smoothly, as we’ll already know who you are and what you’re interested in!).
Once we have an idea of who you are, and what you want, then we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can with a project proposal and price quote. We always ask for the budget you had in mind so there’s no “sticker shock” but we also like you to know exactly what you’re getting into.
Next, we’ll both agree on a work agreement. If you’ve poked around our site, you know we don’t do off-the-rack websites; we design everything from the ground up, which means you’ll be getting a quality site that will last you a long, long time. This can take time, so we want you to have a good idea of how long it will take us to deliver your site.
Now your site is officially in our hands. The first thing we do is information architecture—wireframes and site maps. At this point, we’ll do any requested revisions to the structure before incorporating your desires in terms of the look and feel of the site, so that your visitors get an experience that’s uniquely you when they come to your website. These days, we’re working in code, not Photoshop, which gives us increased flexibility to suit your needs.
Next we do the back-end coding, which makes your site functional, and we hook it all into WordPress, so that you have an easy-to-navigate interface to control your new site and its content.
At this stage is when you can expect to hear from us again! We’ll set up a training session so you’re comfortable using your new blog, meaning you’re able to confidently input new content on your own.
After that, we launch! Your new website goes live. But that’s not the end of the process, not at Clockpunk Studios. We offer ongoing support, like our Clockpunk Studios Care Package, so you’re never worried about what to do if something goes wrong.
